Google API Disclosure
1. Who We Are
Adkumo is an AI-powered ad platform operated by Adkumo GmbH, Uetlibergstrasse 88, 8045 Zurich, Switzerland. This page explains exactly which Google user data Adkumo requests through Google's APIs, why we request it, and how we store, protect, and delete it. It applies to both Google integrations Adkumo offers: Google Ads and Google Drive.
2. What Adkumo Does
Adkumo helps founders, marketers, and lean teams create and launch brand-consistent ads. With Adkumo you can:
- Browse a curated repository of proven ad creatives and adopt any of them to your brand with one click
- Generate on-brand ad copy and visuals with AI, in English, German, French, and Italian
- Refine creatives through a conversational AI assistant
- Launch and manage ads on Google Ads, Meta Ads, and LinkedIn Ads directly from one dashboard
- Import your existing brand images from Google Drive into your asset library
3. Google Services Adkumo Connects To
Adkumo offers two optional Google integrations. Both are off by default: nothing is connected until you click Connect on the Integrations page and approve Google's consent screen. You can use Adkumo fully without connecting either.
- Google Ads: Sync your ad performance and publish campaigns you create in Adkumo to your own Google Ads account
- Google Drive: Import images you select from your Google Drive into your Adkumo brand asset library
4. Google Ads — Data We Access and Why
When you connect Google Ads, Adkumo requests the scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/adwords. We use it solely to:
- List your accounts: Fetch the Google Ads accounts you can access so you can choose which one Adkumo should work with
- Read your performance data: Sync your own campaigns, ads, and metrics (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions) so you can monitor them in the Adkumo dashboard
- Create and manage campaigns: Create campaigns, budgets, ad groups, and ads in your account only when you explicitly publish from Adkumo — every campaign is created paused so nothing spends until you activate it
- Research keywords: Query Google's Keyword Planner to suggest keywords, search volumes, and bid estimates for campaigns you are planning
Adkumo never modifies your Google Ads account without an explicit action from you, never accesses Google services beyond the ones listed on this page, and never uses your advertising data for any purpose other than providing these features to you.
5. Google Drive — Data We Access and Why
When you connect Google Drive, Adkumo requests three scopes: https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email, and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile. We use them solely to:
- Import images you pick: Read and download only the image files and folders you explicitly select in the Google Picker window, and copy those images into your Adkumo asset library
- Show the connected account: Display your Google account email address and name on the Integrations page so you can see which account is connected
The drive.file scope is per-file: Adkumo can only ever see the specific files and folders you select. We cannot browse, search, or read the rest of your Drive, and we never modify or delete anything in your Drive.
6. How We Store and Protect Google User Data
- OAuth refresh tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM and are never exposed to your browser
- All data is transferred over TLS-encrypted connections
- Imported Drive images are stored in your private asset library, accessible only to your account
- Access to Google user data inside Adkumo is limited to executing the features described on this page
7. Sharing and Limited Use
We restrict our use of Google user data as follows:
- We do not sell Google user data to anyone
- We do not share Google user data with third parties, except for the cloud infrastructure subprocessors required to operate Adkumo, who process it under data processing agreements
- We do not use Google user data to develop, improve, or train generalized artificial intelligence or machine learning models
- No humans read your Google user data, except with your explicit permission, when required for security or legal compliance, or when the data is aggregated and anonymized
Google API Services User Data Policy
Adkumo's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
8. Retention, Deletion, and Revoking Access
You stay in control of the access you grant:
- Disconnect in Adkumo: Open the Integrations page and click Disconnect — Adkumo immediately deletes the stored OAuth tokens for that Google connection
- Revoke in your Google Account: You can also revoke Adkumo's access at any time at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
- Delete your data: Follow our data deletion instructions to request removal of any data Adkumo stores about you
9. Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy describes how Adkumo handles all personal data, including Google user data. It is the same privacy policy linked from Google's OAuth consent screen.
